Burj Dubai Guide

The Burj Dubai is the tallest man-made structure in the world. The skyscraper is also known as Burj Khalifa, as after its inauguration it was renamed for the United Arab Emirates president Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and is part of the Downtown Dubai development project. There are also several great hotels in the area around the Burj Dubai that are suitable for romantic getaways and business events alike. Top-class amenities are standard in many Dubai hotels.

Top Things about Burj Dubai

A trip to the top of the Burj Dubai is well worth the effort. The views from here are amazing and should not be missed by anyone with a head for heights. Booking in advance is highly recommended. On the 144th floor of the skyscraper is the world's highest nightclub, perfect for a night out.

For those who want to keep their feet firmly on the ground, a visit to the Dubai Mall or the Souk Al Bahar is recommended. Both are situated right next to the skyscraper and packed with shops selling everything from luxury gifts to clothing and jewellery.

The Dubai Fountain at the Burj Dubai features jets of water that dance in time to both traditional and contemporary music.

Burj Dubai Hotels

Burj Dubai accommodation not only includes the hotel itself; there are also plenty of hotels within easy reach of the Burj Dubai complex that are ideal for all budgets, and the area also features some luxurious boutique hotels. The Burj Dubai area is perfectly placed for the business districts and the numerous shopping malls which are just a short distance away.

Parks and The Great Outdoors

Part of the Burj Dubai is a 27 acre park. The design of the park is based on a desert flower and there are a number of water features, trees, walking trails and gardens in which to relax. There are several fountains and the development has arranged for the plants to be watered by a system that collects water from the building's air conditioning system. This is the perfect oasis from the hustle and bustle of some of the city's busier districts.
