Abu Dhabi - City Centre in Review
Abu Dhabi City is located in the Arabian Gulf and the capital of the United Arab Emirates. A modern city, it has clean wide streets with trees and gardens, parks and wide avenues surrounded by some of the most innovative sky-scrapers and architecture found anywhere in the world. The futuristic landscape, enormous shopping malls and international luxury hotel chains are the reasons tourists flock here in their thousands, with most visitors to the city coming for the unique and numerous shopping opportunities.
Whenever you decide to visit Abu Dhabi you can expect sunny weather and blue skies, June to September are the hottest months, and October to May is generally regarded as the best time of year to visit. Currently there is a lot of construction happening in the city with a number of large projects underway, including the cultural zone of Saadiyat Island and the Guggenheim and Louvre Museums, expected to open in 2011.
